USC baseball sits at 7-9 as Pac-12 play begins this weekend with a three-game home series versus No. 16 Oregon. The young Trojans will get no respite in conference play with six Pac-12 teams ranked in the Collegiate Baseball Top 25.

With all the freshmen playing significant time, USC has not surprisingly played better in the friendly confines of Dedeaux Field with a 5-4 home record. The Friday and Saturday starters, Bob Wheatley and Wyatt Strahan, sport sparkling 1.46 and 1.56 ERAs respectively, while the lineup has received some pop from junior James Roberts (pictured) who leads the team with two homeruns and eight RBIs.
