The Inaugural Weekend

USC women's lacrosse made its long awaited debut this past weekend with home matches against No. 1 Northwestern and No. 14 UMass.  As expected, the victories went to the more experienced sides, but the young Trojans battled hard for head coach Lindsey Munday.

After scoring five goals at the Coliseum versus the defending national champions, the Women of Troy were tied at halftime with Massachusetts before losing 18-9 at McAlister Field on Sunday.  Through two games, No. 25 Caroline de Lyra leads the team with seven points (3 goals and 4 assists), while goalie Liz Shaeffer has made 30 saves already.
