USC and UCLA men's tennis have already played twice this season. On both occasions, the tie came down to the final match, and the final match was decided by a third set tiebreaker.
At the ITA National Team Indoors, Roberto Quiroz clinched the victory for the Trojans, but this past Friday at Marks Stadium, Emilio Gomez was nipped at the end by his UCLA opponent. The two teams could meet three more times this season, so the rivalry drama is just getting started.
