Despite the announcement of Frank Cruz being terminated from his head coaching position this week, USC baseball must soldier on with Dan Hubbs at the helm and a tough weekend trio to open the 2013 season.  The Trojans will play at Cal State Fullerton tonight at 7 p.m., at CSU Baskersfield Saturday at 2 p.m., and the home opener against Nebraska on Sunday at 1 p.m.

While Hubbs will have to adjust to his managerial role, he can rely on the pitching staff he has cultivated over the last year-plus.  He will give the ball to junior Bob Wheatley for the opener, followed by sophomore Wyatt Strahan in game two and highly regarded freshman Kyle Twomey at Dedeaux Field.
