As the lone senior on the USC women's basketball team, Christina Marinacci was hoping for bigger things this season for herself and her team. Unfortunately, the captain has been limited to only 17 games played due to injury, while the Women of Troy have mostly struggled in her absence.
Nevertheless, Marinacci has had a solid all-around career at Troy including Pac-12 honorable mentions for hoops and academics as a junior. She will be celebrated before her final home game tonight against UCLA (tip time at 8 p.m.) as part of the Senior Night ceremony.
USC and UCLA will actually play each other twice this rivalry week. After meeting at Galen Center tonight, the crosstown foes will switch the scene to Westwood on Sunday at 2 p.m.
