Closing the Combine

USC alums were busy on the final day of the 2013 NFL Combine as three Trojans were among the group of defensive backs.

Captain T.J. McDonald led the way with a strong workout including top 10 finishes among safeties in the bench press, vertical jump and 20-yard shuttle.  He ran a solid 4.59 40-yard dash and measured in at 6-foot-2 and 219 pounds.

Nickell Robey was the fastest Trojan on the day at 4.53 in the 40.  He has a 37.5 inch vertical leap and stands at 5-foot-7.

Jawanza Starling ran a 4.64 40-yard dash, but he was a top performer in the three-cone drill and 60-yard shuttle.

All the Trojans will have another chance to show off their skills at USC Pro Day on March 27.  The event will be closed to the public, but we'll provide coverage and video.

McDonald showed off his 40-inch vertical leap at the Sun Bowl.
