Name: Steven Mitchell

Size: 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds
Hometown (HS): Pasadena, CA (Bishop Alemany HS)
Rivals.com Ranking: 4-stars (No. 6 WR, No. 54 Overall)
Accolades: The U.S. Army All-American was one of southern California's top skill players in 2012. As a senior, he had 62 receptions for 1,100 yards (17.7 avg.) with 13 TDs, plus he ran for 202 yards with 5 TDs. He also played defensive back en route to being named the Serra League's Co-MVP. He was equally as dominant as a junior catching 50 passes for 1,006 yards (20.1 avg.), running for 312 yards and scoring 19 TDs (11 receiving, 5 rushing, 1 kickoff return, 1 punt return and 1 interception).

Scouting Report: "Every time he touches the ball, he has a chance to go the distance," said Alemany head coach Dean Herrington to the LA Times. Mitchell is the latest local speedster to choose USC, and you can understand why given the success of Robert Woods and Marqise Lee in recent years. Mitchell is undersized at 5-foot-10, which brings comparisons to slot receivers like Oregon's De'Anthony Thomas.
