USC head coach Lane Kiffin responded to media reports about a post-game "altercation" in the Sun Bowl locker room.
"Contrary to media reports, there was not a brawl or altercation in our locker room after the Sun Bowl. There was a noisy verbal exchange among a couple players who were frustrated with the outcome of the game. It lasted less than a minute and was nothing physical. It happens sometimes in football locker rooms after a disappointing loss."

Last season, Lane Kiffin was paid $2.4 million to lead the pre-season #1 ranked team in the country with the #1 ranked Heisman candidate and arguably one of the greatest offenses ever assembled. The results of his leadership were a 7-6 record, losses to UCLA and Notre Dame, a Sun Bowl loss to a 6-7 team, multiple questions of his integrity and a team that finally imploded. As recruits decommit, our once proud program has become the laughing stock of the NCAA. The obvious question is why hasn't Kiffin been fired. The question we probably need to start asking is why hasn't Haden been fired for supporting this guy.
Dear Lane,
We wish you well for a successful 2013. We will be there again. Hopefully we will win, both on and off the field, which is our real objective. The NFL is full of destructive traps, both physically and materialistically. THINK WIN.
FIGHT ON.
