USC men's basketball lost last night to Arizona State in Tempe, but not all losses are created equal.  The Trojans played a wildly entertaining brand of basketball featuring an incredible comeback before running out of gas in overtime.

USC's guards are thriving in Bob Cantu's uptempo system.  Jio Fontan (25 points) and J.T. Terrell (20 points) combined to make 10 three-pointers as the Trojans scored 93 as a team, the program's highest total since 2008.

After Terrell made two ridiculous bombs late in regulation to give USC a chance, Fontan hit an off-balanced three (video below) to send the game to overtime.  The Trojans fell to 3-4 in Pac-12 play, but better days are ahead with this kind of effort perhaps starting Saturday at Arizona (4 p.m. PT on ESPNU).
