Yary to Rose Bowl Hall of Fame

Yary-USC.jpgTwo-time All-American Ron Yary will be inducted into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame at a ceremony on December 30.  He becomes the 22nd Trojan player, coach or administrator inducted into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame.

Yary played in the 1967 and 1968 Rose Bowls, including clinching the national championship by defeating Indiana in his final game at Troy.  He is USC's only Outland Trophy winner, and started the tradition of Trojans being drafted No. 1 overall when he was taken with the first selection by the Minnesota Vikings in 1968.

Yary was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001.  He is a local product out of Bellflower High School.
