USC senior captain Khaled Holmes was named one of six finalists for the Rimington Trophy given to the nation's top center. He has already earned All-Pac-12 first team and academic first team postseason honors.

Without Holmes in the lineup, USC was bowled over by the Stanford front in an early season loss. He also proved his worth by neutralizing future first round picks DT Star Lotulelei from Utah and DT Will Sutton from ASU.
