To celebrate 12-12-12, we are recognizing the greatest Trojans to wear the No. 12 at USC.
Charles White, the 1979 Heisman Trophy winner, is the obvious place to start. Tom Hoffarth ranked the running back as the greatest No. 12 in SoCal sports history.
When he left Troy, White was the second leading rusher in NCAA history with a career total of 5,598 yards on the ground during the regular season. Including bowl games, he posted a Pac-10 record 6,245 career rush yards.
The two-time All-American led USC to the national championship in 1978, and played in three Rose Bowls. In the 1980 granddaddy, he set a Rose Bowl record with 247 rushing yards en route to MVP honors for the second time.
He is a member of the College Football, Rose Bowl and USC Athletics Halls of Fame.
