The NCAA recognized USC women's golf, men's indoor track and field and women's soccer for having an academic progress rate (APR) in the top 10 percent of its respective sports.

"Thank you for your leadership and support of the academic reform efforts," said NCAA President Mark Emmert in a letter to USC.  "These teams represent intercollegiate athletics at its best.  Once again, I congratulate you, the head coach, team, student-athletes, athletics department and institution for the outstanding academic achievements of these teams."

USC women's golf has earned the academic excellence award for eight consecutive seasons now, while women's soccer was honored for the seventh time in the eight years of the APR's existence.  The same three teams were given public recognition awards last year.

Led by Sophia Popov, USC women's golf is ranked No. 1 by "Golf World".
