Name - Omar Oraby
Position - Center
Class - Junior
Size - 7'2", 270 lbs.
Age - 21
High School - Modern English HS (Cairo, Egypt)
Game - He is a mountain of a man. Oraby is one of the tallest players in college basketball and plays his size. He has soft hands and a good finishing touch. At Rice, he set the school record for blocks in a season, so he is a rim protector on the defensive end. He also made 71% of his free throws, which is exceptional for his size.
Before USC - He transferred in from Rice, where he played two seasons. As a freshman, he contributed sparingly, but he scored six points per game last year. Amazingly, he set the single-season rejection record despite playing only 11 minutes per game on average. Oraby, who grew up in Egypt, played for his country's junior national team at the FIBA 2009 U19 World Championships.
