USC women's soccer battled and battled this season as seemingly every game went to overtime and ended in a hard luck result.  In the season finale today, the Women of Troy's perseverance and spirit got a just reward with an overtime victory over No. 2 UCLA.

The Trojans took a 2-1 lead with 10 minutes to go on a gorgeous individual goal by senior Samantha Johnson, but the Bruins scrapped home the equalizer with only 90 seconds left in regulation.  Fittingly, USC's season ended in its ninth overtime game.

While the Women of Troy were just 1-4-3 in overtime coming into the Crosstown Rivalry, Jordan Marada slammed home the golden goal to set off a celebration which should give the young Trojans plenty of momentum heading into 2013.
