In the highest scoring USC-UCLA game in series history, Todd Marinovich hit Johnnie Morton with 16 seconds left to win it for the Trojans. The game-winning score capped a wild 4th quarter of football at the Rose Bowl, which included six touchdowns and four lead changes.
