Following the victory over Utah, the Trojans have begun preparations in anticipation for their upcoming duel with Washington.
Following the victory over Utah, the Trojans have begun preparations in anticipation for their upcoming duel with Washington.
- According to Kiffin, having the extra days has been an advantage as the Trojans are ahead in their practice schedule. Kiffin called Sunday's practice "spirited."
- Kiffin said on Friday that safety Josh Shaw might move to cornerback. Kiffin reaffirmed the possible switch today. "He has experience with it and did want to do it a little while ago," Kiffin said. "It's not that hard of a move to put him back there."
- As Kiffin stated, Washington's loss to Oregon does not indicate that the Huskies are not a strong program. "They are a completely different team when they play at home," Kiffin said. "I believe they are 3-0 at home, so they play really well there."
- In regards to the possibility of wide receiver Marqise Lee playing both ways, the pros and cons are still being decided. "We don't want it to take away from what he does on offense. He is one of the best players in the country," Kiffin said. "It would be pretty hard to put him over there very much if it were going to take reps away on offense."
