Across the NCAA and here at Troy, the graduation success rate of student-athletes is on the rise. Since 2007, USC student-athletes have been graduating at a higher rate than the previous year.
2007 - 66%
2008 - 68%
2009 - 69%
2010 - 74%
2011 - 78%
2012 - 79%
The latest numbers are a reflection of student-athletes who started college from 2002-05, so women's lacrosse and sand volleyball were not considered.
USC men's golf, men's tennis, women's rowing, women's tennis and women's volleyball posted perfect graduation rates. Men's swimming and women's soccer were over 93% and two-thirds of the sports are over 80%.

Jordan,
The rates quoted above are great and it is nice to know that USC is improving. But, the graduation rate in football is 57% which is low compared to other Top 25 schools and at the bottom of the Pac 12. Is there a reason that USC's rates are lower then the rates of other similar schools, ie. more transfers because of the NCAA sanctions, etc. I am just curious why we are so low in football.
Love your blog.
Thanks,
Greg
