USC baseball head coach Frank Cruz inherited a rebuilding project when he took over at Troy in 2011.  Recruiting is the key to lifting the program back to its championship heights, and the newest class (ranked No. 24 by Collegiate Baseball) should provide an influx of talent.

"I think this year we were able to get quality recruits late to replace some of the guys that signed after getting drafted," said Cruz. "We are really excited about that. We got a great group of guys that are proven winners and have been champions at different levels."

Left-hander Kyle Twomey (pictured) is the headliner.  The southpaw was drafted in the 3rd round this summer by the Oakland A's, but decided to hold off on the pros for a college experience.
