USC football filled out its 2014 non-conference schedule with a home date against Fresno State to go along with a road trip to Boston College and the rivalry game against Notre Dame.

The Trojans and Bulldogs have played twice before, a Fresno State victory in the 1992 Freedom Bowl and the 2005 Coliseum classic featuring Reggie Bush's electrifying 294 yards rushing in a 50-42 USC victory.
The current USC coaching staff has strong ties to Fresno State. Head coach Lane Kiffin was a backup quarterback for the Bulldogs (1994-96), while special teams coach John Baxter was an assistant at Fresno for 13 years.
