Last week, the Trojan Baseball Alumni Association (TBAA) conducted its second annual
Youth Baseball Clinic with attendance free to at-risk kids near USC and
in outlying areas. The clinic was a full day of drills on the
fundamentals of the game with instruction from former USC baseball
players.
T-shirts, lunches, tours of the Hall of Fame facilities and certificates were provided to all participants. The parents, who accompanied their kids, enjoyed a Q&A session.
Three years ago, the TBAA was formed with a basic straight forward goal to keep former players connected and informed on baseball events and activities. They also wanted to promote the game of baseball to young kids and help them understand the fundamentals like they were taught.
Any former baseball players wanting to be involved with future clinics or other TBAA activities may click here to get on the weekly update list.
