The aquatics center at London 2012 is officially closed after USA Swimming went out in one more blaze golden glory. The women's 4x100m medley relay set a world record giving Rebecca Soni, who stretched the lead during the second leg, another gold to cap her second Olympics.
The relay team of Missy Franklin, Soni, Dana Vollmer and Allison Schmitt finished the Games with a ridiculous 12 combined gold medals. Soni leaves London with two golds and a silver.

Ous Mellouli, who was forced to wait until the final weekend to compete, backed up his gold in Beijing with a bronze in the 1500m freestyle. The pride of Tunisia is still scheduled to participate in the Olympic swimming marathon on August 10.
The USC medal count now stands at 3 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze.
On the track, Felix Sanchez was the top story as the veteran posted the top semifinal time in the 400m IH. He will look to grab gold for Puerto Rico on Monday.
Bryshon Nellum's status on Team USA took an interesting turn after his first race. The surprise qualifier from the U.S. Olympic Trials advanced to the 400m semifinal, while 2008 gold medalist LaShawn Merritt pulled up in his race with a hamstring injury.
In the sprint for fastest woman in the world, Allyson Felix came in fifth with a personal best time of 10.89. She will now switch focus to her primary event, the 200m, which begins on Monday.
