Allyson Felix and the USA women's 4x100m relay team won gold in addition to shattering a world record. Felix ran the second leg of the race with a time of 40.82, breaking the world record.
This is Felix's second gold medal in the 2012 Olympic Games. She won an individual gold in the 200m dash.

USA men's 4x400m relay team featuring Bryshon Nellum and Josh Mance received silver with a time of 2:57.05.

USC alum Ous Mellouli followed his bronze medal in the 1500m freestyle by winning the 10K marathon swim. Mellouli (pictured below) is now the proud owner of two gold medals and a bronze.
"I've been struggling, with my shoulder, my elbow, I had a virus. What happened today is a miracle if you believe in miracles," Mellouli said.
