Olympic Spotlight: El Super Sanchez

Track is not a sport for veterans, but Felix Sanchez, who won gold back at Athens in 2004, found his fastest time in eight years to win the gold medal in the 400m IH tonight in London.

Sanchez-Celebrates-Gold-Getty.jpgThe Dominican hurdler posted the best time in the semifinals and followed it up with a 47.63 to become USC's second individual gold medalist of the 2012 Olympics.

Also on the track, Allyson Felix (200m) and Duane Solomon (800m) won their round one heats to advance to semifinals on Tuesday.

Amy Rodriguez was relegated to cheerleader, but the U.S. Women's Soccer team won an epic semifinal 4-3 in overtime over Canada to advance to the gold medal game against Japan on Thursday (11:45 a.m. pt).

Finally, Donald Suxho and USA Men's Volleyball bounced back from a tough loss to Russia by sweeping Tunisia. They finished 4-1 in their group and now move on to bracket play.
