The Los Angeles Sports Council, in addition to representatives from local sports venues, teams and law enforcement, have created the Southern California Fan Code of Conduct. The new code comprises of 10 rules that all fans must abide by when attending all events.

USC Athletic Director Pat Haden served as a member on the Task Force for the L.A. Sports Council. The Task Force aims to enhance the fan experience for all fans, especially families. "Attending a sporting event often creates memories of a lifetime," Haden said. "I know that is true for those who come to Trojan games at the Coliseum, Galen Center and our other USC facilities."

Haden has been influential in improving the fan experience at the Coliseum and the Galen Center and was enthusiastic in improving safety and enjoyment at other venues in Los Angeles. "To have all the venues throughout our region come together and create the Southern California Fan Code of Conduct reinforces the commitment all of us have to provide spectators with memorable and enjoyable experiences," Haden said. "It also reinforced the zero tolerance policy we have at USC regarding disruptive fan behavior."
