Men's Hoops Optimism

Despite a 6-26 season with just one Pac-12 victory, the men's basketball program is not talking about redemption.  The 2012-13 Trojans are a completely different bunch with last year's injuries now healed and a talented crop of fresh blood.

"Last year we returned nine points per game. This year we return 103," head coach Kevin O'Neill told Seth Davis. "We're deep. We have experience. We should be good."

This time last year, the 2011-12 season started to unravel when PG Jio Fontan blew out his knee during a preseason game in Brazil.  Now, Fontan (pictured) has been cleared for full contact practice, Seth Rubinroit first reported yesterday.
