Comparison - Physically, Ed Orgeron has used his name in the same sentence with Shaun Cody, another defensive end converted into a defensive tackle at USC. Coach O was quick to qualify his statement saying that Cody had an all-time great motor, so Williams has a ways to go.
Prep Career - He had 103 tackles, including 19.5 for losses with 10.5 sacks, as an All-American senior in 2011.
Fall Camp - Coach O wants to incorporate eight defensive linemen in his rotation and Williams appears to have secured a spot as a backup defensive tackle. He came in as a defensive end, but seems to have adjusted quickly to his new position in the three-technique.
To Quote Williams - "I am getting bigger and I still have room to grow."
