Go Metro

USC fans have a new cheap and easy way to get to the Coliseum this year by taking the Expo Line on the Metro Rail.  The train stops at Expo/Vermont and Expo Park/USC Station, which are both a short walk from the stadium.

By taking the train, fans bypass the hassles and cost of traffic and parking.  Click here to plan your route.

Interestingly, this is not the first time trains were available for transport to USC games.  The previous passenger rail service was de-electrified in 1953, but as you can see from this photo, it dropped off right in front of Mudd Hall, which looks exactly the same 60 years later.

With everyone coming to the expo area on the metro will there be a check in place in front of the stadium to store chairs or coolers during the game? Since we are taking public transportation i won't have a car to put it all away? I am not a big fan of the rose bowl but they have free storage out in front of the stadium. It would be a big help to fans who want to beat the crowd by arriving a bit early. Expo area also does not benches or tables to sit at if you don't bring chairs.

We want to take the Metro to the games, but also want to tailgate with friends who come from out of town. Are there any provisions for storage of chairs and picnic baskets while we are watching the Trojans play and win?
