With the fourth practice in the books, the Trojans continue to improve in fall camp.

  • Thursday's practice ran shorter than the previous three due to tomorrow's scrimmage scheduled for 12:30pm at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
  • The team wore shoulder pads again today. Like yesterday, practice featured immense physicality.
  • DE Morgan Breslin's performance thus far in fall camp has impressed Kiffin. According to Kiffin, Breslin has improved greatly since the spring and will be an asset to the defensive line.
  • WR Robert Woods is continuing to regain his stride. "This is the best he has looked since last year," Kiffin said. "It is good to see him push a little more and run five or six plays in a row."
  • LB Hayes Pullard will be learning middle linebacker in anticipation if Lamar Dawson is sidelined with an injury this season. "We are all trying to learn every position," Pullard said. "Dion [Bailey] is trying to learn my position and I am trying to learn middle linebacker. We are trying to prepare for specific offenses."  Kiffin stated that preparing Pullard now for a potential transition to middle linebacker will benefit the team later in the season.
  • The Trojan defense is gaining confidence in its defensive scheme. "We are comfortable with the defense," said safety T.J. McDonald. "We have started to ask questions and pick apart the brains of our coaches. That's the only way you get better and that's exactly what we're doing."
  • Here is Kiffin...
