USC senior RB Curtis McNeal was nominated for the Doak Walker Award as one the 52 best running backs in the country. Academically ineligible in 2010, McNeal ran for more than 1,000 yards last season to complete a powerful reclamation story.

For "Tailback U," Reggie Bush is the only Trojan to win the Doak Walker Award, which has been around since 1990. It should be a good year for runners in the Pac-12 with eight tailbacks on the watch list, which does not include Oregon's DeAnthony Thomas.
