Former USC pitcher Ryan Cook was selected to play on the American League All-Star team on Sunday.

Cook was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 27th round of the 2008 draft. In 2011, Cook made his major league debut in Arizona before being traded to Oakland in late 2011.
The MLB All-Star game is on Tuesday, July 10 in Kansas City.
