USC football walk-on Peter Yobo and cross country runner Tony Martinez were selected to serve as Early College High School fellows to mentor and teach high school students taking accelerated college courses at X-Mester in Vincennes, IN, this summer.The program provides an opportunity for at-risk students to experience college pressure before actually going to college. Most of the students will come from low-income environments and aspire to be first-generation college students.

Yobo and Martinez were two of 23 chosen for this prestigious summer program. Yobo, who was also a thrower on the track and field team, is the co-founder of iStandAbove, a charity that serves the children of his native Ghana.
