For the third consecutive Major League Baseball Draft, Andrew Triggs had his name called.  After passing up the MLB to return to USC each of the previous two years, the Trojan ace will begin his professional career in the Kansas City Royals organization, which drafted him in the 19th round today.

Triggs was the first USC player taken in the 2012 MLB Draft, which is in its third day.  He finished off his five year career with a 5-6 senior season accompanied by a stellar 3.49 ERA and 85/20 K/BB ratio.
