"To qualify for the London Olympics is amazing, I'm speechless," said Anderson. "I called my Dad after the race and said, 'I did it,' but that was about all I can get out of my mouth."

The long distance champion will look to add more races to her London 2012 schedule at the U.S. Swimming Indoor Trials, which begin June 25 in Omaha, Neb.  The All-American won the NCAA championship in the 500m freestyle as a junior.

On the men's side, fellow Trojan Ous Mellouli dominated the field in Portugal to book a spot in the 2012 Olympic Games for his native Tunisia.  Mellouli and Anderson train at USC under the guidance of swimming head coach Dave Salo.

Mellouli won gold in the 1500m freestyle at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
