USC women's rowing's Varsity Eight boat is off to an unbeaten start this season and surged to a No. 1 national ranking. The Women of Troy are ranked No. 5 in the country as a team.
The Trojans have an important job to do this weekend to vault USC back above UCLA in the Gauntlet standings. The Bruins currently lead 42.5 to 40, but Saturday's crosstown match race at the USC boathouse in San Pedro is worth 5 points.
