Hoops Adds Brendyn Taylor

6'2" guard Brendyn Taylor is the third man signed to USC men's basketball's 2012 recruiting class.  The Fairfax HS product averaged 18 points per game as a senior and could offer outside shooting relief for the Trojans.

Brendyn-Taylor-Fairfax.jpg"Brendyn has a great upside," said head coach Kevin O'Neill. "He is an athletic wing whose best days are ahead of him.  He is going to be a major plus both on and off the court."

Taylor has a strong pedigree with his father Brian playing 10 years in the NBA and ABA, while his brother Bryce played recently at Oregon.

Recruiting coordinator Bob Cantu called Taylor "a sleeper" since he sat out his junior year of high school and missed part of his senior year due to CIF transfer rules.  He is the latest member of a recruiting class which should provide a scoring boost for an offensively challenged team last year.

The Trojans signed G J.T. Terrell, the top junior college prospect in the country, and Serbian F Strahinja Gavrilovic in November.
