The Trojans were led by a pair of women who could not be caught, distance runner Zsofia Erdelyi and sprinter Aareon Payne.  The duo combined to win five events on the day.

Erdelyi concluded her triumphant Dual Meet career by winning the 1500 meters and 5000 meters for the fourth consecutive year.  She broke her Dual Meet record in the 5000 and clinched the meet with her win in the 1500.

Fellow senior Aareon Payne claimed victories in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay.  She ran the 200 meters in 23.22 just .02 off her conference-leading time.

The 4x100m relay team posted the best time in the Pac-12 this season (43.95) and eighth best in the NCAA in 2012.

The USC men were defeated despite strong performances from sprinters Aaron Brown (100m and 200m winner), Bryshon Nellum (400m and 4x400m winner), Josh Mance (800m winner) and Reggie Wyatt (400m hurdles and 4x400m winner).  Trojan football stars Nickell Robey and Marqise Lee finished second and third respectively in the long jump, while Abe Markowitz (shot put) and Tony Burnett (triple jump) finished third.
