In a year when men's volleyball is in dominant form as the No. 1 team in the country, Bryan Ivie is fittingly headed to the USC Hall of Fame.  The current Trojans are riding the program's longest winning streak since the dominant era of Ivie.

He is USC men's volleyball's only two-time National Player of the Year and led the Trojans to national championships in 1988 and 1990.  He was the NCAA tournament MVP in 1990.

Ivie still sets the standard in the Trojan record books as the all-time leader in career kills and blocks.  The two-time Olympian won bronze in Barcelona as part of an accomplished professional career.

How can it be May 12th?! That's the night of the NORCECA finals in Long Beach. Is the calendar so packed that vb fans (yes there is such a thing) have to choose between cheering for our current National Team and a former member? I'd be there in a heartbeat if it was any other night. I saw Bryan win his championship in '90. He's one of my favorite players of all time. But he should be in red, white & blue on Saturday night in the Pyramid cheering the guys toward London.
