After a trying season, USC men's basketball paid tribute to the survivors of the last campaign and looked ahead to a bright future.

Sophomore guard Maurice Jones was named the team MVP after leading the squad in scoring (13 ppg), assists, steals and minutes.  He was also dubbed the defensive player of the year.

Freshman Byron Wesley collected three awards on the night.  He was rated most improved, the top rebounder and the underclassman who made an impact on the team by the example of what it means to be a Trojan on and off the court (the Ryan Francis award).
