USC football alums Mark Sanchez and Lofa Tatupu had successful weekends with a simple stroke of the pen.
Sanchez signed a three-year contract extension, which puts an end to any speculation that Peyton Manning could replace him in New York. The 2009 Rose Bowl MVP led the Jets to back-to-back AFC Championship Games, but struggled in his third season.
Tatupu, a former All-Pro linebacker with the Seahawks, sat out last season to recover from a myriad of injuries. Now, he'll get back in the saddle with the Atlanta Falcons on a two-year deal.
