USC athletics celebrated men's water polo's unprecedented fourth consecutive national championship with a ceremony today on campus.
Head coach Jovan Vavic, who has now won 10 national titles (seven men's and three women's), got emotional as he talked about his love for the university, which he has been a part of for over two decades. He also sounded determined that although the program is losing All-Americans Joel Dennerley and Peter Kurzeka, the squad is deep enough to fight for the trophy again next year.
Dennerley, the National Player of the Year, is in Australia training with his club team in anticipation of making a push for a starting spot between the pipes on the Olympic team this summer in London. However, his teammates made sure to Skype him into the party (pictured), so he could enjoy the festivities.
