When special teams coach John Baxter is not in football gear, you can usually hear the clacking of his cowboy boots around Heritage Hall. The proud rancher joined USC in 2010 after 13 seasons with Fresno State.
Super Bowl champion Bear Pascoe of the New York Giants was one of Baxter's protegees during his Bulldog days. The two men and their families teamed up last weekend for some team roping action.
