USC women's basketball head coach Michael Cooper already owns 5 NBA championship rings as a player and 2 WNBA titles as coach. Now, he can add a bobblehead to his trophy case.
The first 1,500 fans who attend Saturday's home finale at 2 p.m. against Arizona State will receive their own FREE Cooper bobblehead.
While Cooper is a Los Angeles basketball fixture, adjusting to the college game has proven to be one of the most difficult challenges of his storied hoops career. However, he is in it for the long haul.
"This is it for me. I'm here as long as I can win and keep my job," Cooper told the Daily News. "As long as I keep this program moving in the right direction this is where I'll be and this is where I will retire."
The Women of Troy are sitting in prime position for a Pac-12 conference tournament run. At 15-11 overall and 9-6 in conference, the Trojans are the No. 3 seed, which means they would avoid Stanford (25-1, 16-0) until the championship game at Staples Center.
