Newly hired Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano was a graduate assistant on the 1984 and 1985 USC football teams. He joins Norv Turner (Chargers), Pete Carroll (Seahawks) and Jeff Fisher (Rams) as NFL head coaches with Trojan ties.
Turner was an assistant coach at Troy from 1976 to 1984. Carroll won two national championships as the head coach from 2001 to 2009. Fisher lettered at USC in 1979 and 1980.
Pagano, who was the Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator this season, takes over the 2-14 Colts, which are expected to draft Stanford's Andrew Luck with the No. 1 overall pick.
