Dedmon's Done

USC sophomore center Dewayne Dedmon will likely miss the rest of the season with an MCL tear in his left knee suffered during the first half of Thursday night's loss to Colorado.  The injury does not require surgery, so the seven-footer will begin a rest and rehabilitation program immediately.

Dedmon-Injury.jpgHe is the latest casualty in a season marred by critical injuries starting with PG Jio Fontan tearing an ACL in the preseason.  F Aaron Fuller (shoulder), F Evan Smith (shoulder) and C Curtis Washington (shoulder) have also been lost for the season.

Dedmon injured his knee last night when a Colorado player fell on his left leg, which forced the knee to hyperextend.  He also bruised his tibial bone.

The Trojans are down to six scholarship players and only two big men.  They host Utah on Saturday night at 8 p.m. at Galen Center.
