In the 2010-11 school year, USC student-athletes performed more than 3,000 hours of community outreach. Already in 2011-12, they have logged 1,600 hours and counting serving others.
To honor the team that puts in the most work, the athletic department created the annual Service Champions Award, which was won by women's basketball from 2008 to 2010. Last year though, baseball took home the 3rd annual trophy by completing over 540 hours as a team, which breaks down to 15 hours per student-athlete.
Congratulations to Frank Cruz and his squad for leading the way!
