  • USC shot a season low 29.3% from the field, including 1/15 from three-point range.  "That's not going to beat anybody, anywhere, anytime," head coach Kevin O'Neill said about his team's shooting statistics.  "We're just not making shots and we haven't been for most of the year."  Greg Allen was given extended minutes as O'Neill searched for an answer.  "We're just looking for someone to make a shot.  That would be the nicest thing in the world."
  • Aaron Fuller did not play in the second half after suffering another shoulder injury.  Without him, the Wildcats capitalized in the paint behind Jesse Perry's 20 points and Solomon Hill's double-double (11 points and 10 rebounds).  "He hasn't been right all year," O'Neill said both of Fuller's shoulders are in pain.  Sophomore C Dewayne Dedmon has found a measure of consistency in league play with 8, 10, 8 and 11 points in the four games.  "He's getting a feel for the game," O'Neill said.  "Everyone thought he was going to be a lottery pick this year, but he's not."
  • Kevin O'Neill announced that the team will do extra individual work this semester in an attempt to improve a young roster piece by piece.  "These guys are going to end up having a lot of success," the head coach referred to his team which could return intact next season.  "It's probably more based toward next year.  They are just in roles that they can't handle right now.  They're a little overwhelmed."
