Last week, USC held tryouts for a third string kicker as insurance behind Andre Heidari and walk-on backup Craig McMahon.
Freshman Joshua Alswang won a spot on the team by showing off a live leg. He was an accomplished soccer player at Cherry Creek High in Greenwood Village, CO.
