As is always the case in college baseball, the coaching staff will wait to see if the signees elect to latch on to a major league organization after the 2012 draft, but they are happy with the fall haul.

"We are excited to build on the No. 5 rated class that we brought in this fall. We feel that this class has the ability to strengthen the foundation that is being built for USC baseball," said recruiting coordinator Dan Hubbs.

The 2012 class is made up of five pitchers and outfielder Vahn Bozoian (pictured), the 58th best player in the country as ranked by Perfect Game USA.

Hubbs on Bozoian: "He provides us with a big arm in the outfield and an influx of power to the lineup. We envision him being a middle-of-the-order hitter for us."
