Four-time USC All-American golfer Lizette Salas completed a grueling U.S. Women's Open with a strong tied for 15th finish after shooting six-over par through 72 holes.

Salas turned in the top performance of her young career in only her second major.  She failed to make the cut as an amateur in last year's Open.

"It was a great experience. I felt very comfortable out there, considering I've been a pro for a month," said Salas. "I wasn't the longest hitter out there but I was still able to score. All in all, it was a good start for my career and definitely a confidence booster as I just competed with the best players in the world."
